Microplastics are increasingly being detected across water, wastewater, soil, food and the broader environment, creating growing challenges for researchers, regulators, industry and engineers.

This webinar brings together several Australian experts to examine the issue from multiple perspectives, from understanding where microplastics come from and how they are managed internationally, through to the challenges of reliably detecting and measuring them, emerging evidence around chemicals and human health, and engineering approaches for their treatment and removal.

The session will provide a practical, multidisciplinary overview of the current state of microplastics knowledge and the areas in which further research, standardisation and engineering solutions are still required.
