DEADLINE: ASCA Land Distributed Tactical Power Management Challenge
The Power Challenge is a collaborative initiative between Australia and the United Kingdom (UK) focused on advancing innovative solutions to meet emerging land force energy requirements.
Through this RFT, ASCA is seeking tenders to develop and demonstrate innovative solutions that address one or more of the following Desired Capability Effects (DCEs):
DCE 1 – Company Level Power Generation and Management
A modular, scalable and low-signature power capability that supports dispersed company-level operations for up to 72 hours independently of higher-echelon power sources. The capability may incorporate power generation, energy storage, energy replenishment and power distribution functions, and should support operations at company, platoon and section levels.
DCE 2 – Tactical Edge Power
A modular and scalable power capability that enables platoons, sections and individual soldiers to operate for up to 48 hours without reliance on company-level replenishment capabilities. The capability may incorporate local power generation, energy storage, energy harvesting, battery exchange or energy replenishment functions suitable for operation at the tactical edge. Multiple DCE 2 systems may be employed to meet platoon-level energy requirements.
