For most ocean ventures, getting the technology to work is only part of the job. The harder part is commercial: finding the customer who has the problem, moving a pilot over the line, and knowing the key people, enablers and potential challenges before you enter a new market.

Propel is a six-month accelerator for ocean technology ventures with validated solutions that are preparing for growth, industry pilots or capital raising.

Ventures get direct connections to industry partners and potential customers across ports, subsea operations, autonomous systems, ocean data and maritime logistics, along with warm introductions to Australian and international investors. Support covers customer acquisition strategy, pilot structuring, procurement engagement and investor readiness.

There’s no fixed curriculum. Propel is tailored to each company, with support shaped around where the business is at and what it needs to move to the next stage. On top of that, companies take part in two public industry and investor showcases and get supported pathways into export markets.

We’re looking for ventures in seven categories:

→ Autonomous and unmanned systems
→ Port and coastal infrastructure
→ Underwater and subsea technologies
→ Propulsion and energy systems
→ AI, data and decision support
→ Logistics, sustainment and supply chain
→ Oceanography and environmental monitoring

Ventures can apply from WA, elsewhere in Australia, or overseas.
