This is your last chance to join the GreenTech Hub’s inaugural innovation challenge focused on long duration energy storage solutions to meet Western Australia’s unique energy needs.

The Long Game Energy Storage Challenge is an initiative run by the WA GreenTech Hub in collaboration with its industry, entrepreneur, research and investment partners. The challenge is an invitation to put forward innovative, commercially feasible long duration energy storage (LDES) solutions spanning from 10+ hours through to seasonal storage. Solving this issue is critical to the decarbonisation of WA’s energy grids and industrial processes and helping WA achieve its net zero target.

The challenge brings together innovators and entrepreneurs to work alongside industry, research and policymakers to identify new solutions to complex real-world problems.

What’s on offer?

The Challenge will identify high potential submissions in collaboration with industry partners and subject matter experts, and leading submissions will proceed through a curated program designed with innovators and Greentech’s corporate, research and public sector partners. This is a unique opportunity for innovators to:

• pilot solutions in real-world conditions
• gain exposure to leading energy funders, and
• access tailored support to help scale technologies for deployment in WA.
