DEADLINE: Drone Led Innovation Challenge

The Call for Innovators
We invite students, farmers, small businesses, agronomists, researchers, agricultural companies and startups to participate in this challenge. Submissions should focus on innovative solutions that tackle one or more of the outlined challenges.

Key Challenges

• Cost: Overcome the perception that drones are prohibitively expensive for small-scale and resource-constrained farmers.
• Technical Complexity: Simplify the use of drone technology through training in piloting, data analysis, and maintenance.
• Scalability: Demonstrate the viability of drones for large-scale agricultural operations.
• Data Management: Provide solutions for effective data management, processing, and interpretation.
• Environmental Conditions: Address the impact of adverse weather and/or terrain on drone operations.
• Battery Life: Improve strategies for managing drone flight times and battery life.
• Sustainability: Demonstrate the advantages of drones in reducing emissions, chemical use, crop damage etc.
